Comment from "Tomas" (Jungle-Gems Pres.): This concept is brand new. It has never before even been attempted here in Brasil. We at Jungle-Gems think that you, the foreign buyer, should have huge savings no matter who or where your current sources are for Brasilian goods. The concept requires trust and patience to complete a buy. We have spent the last 20+ years. here building a solid reputation and we pledge to maintain our reputation for honesty, integrity, and professionalism. We want you to be able to obtain goods directly from the praca without the effort of coming here personally, and with the peace of mind that this is an easy means to get what you need. Give us a try and see!

Tips for buying:

I try to get a decent price when I photograph material, as do my associates when they are in the praca. But, some people just have to ask a high price so they can accept a later, lesser offer. It might be just too far ingrained into the psyche here in the praca. Those of you who have bought in the praca know what I’m talking about. With that said, you should know that in SOME CASES you can NEGOTIATE PRICE…

For gemstone dealers, importers and wholesalers: VOLUME means LOWER PRICES.
Often times, as hard as we try, the conditions that we work in don’t allow for better photography. However, in SOME CASES we can obtain MORE PHOTOS upon request. This would most often apply to recently posted material, or expensive material.
